If you find an Expert on Crowdhelix who you would be interested in collaborating with, you can get in touch with them by sending them a Direct Message.

<aside> ⚠️ If your account is part of the Extended Network, which means that your Organisation is not a member of the Crowdhelix Network, you will not be able to send new Direct Messages, however you can respond to messages sent to you by other Experts.

Step by step

Search for an Expert to contact

To search for Experts on Crowdhelix, click the search box labelled Search Crowdhelix at the top left of the page whilst you are logged in.

Begin typing a search term in the box. This could be:

• the name of the expert you are looking for, or;
• a specific type of expertise (such as “global health”), or;
• the name of an Organisation (to find the experts that represent it on Crowdhelix).

Once you have completed typing your search term in the box, click Search experts from the list below to submit your search.

Select the expert you want to contact by clicking their name or profile image. You can also click the name of their organisation to learn more about the organisation they represent on Crowdhelix.

If you want to get in contact with the selected expert, click Send Message towards the top right of the page to begin drafting a Direct Message to the expert you’ve selected.

To send your message to the expert you’ve selected, click Send. You can continue the conversation by following the steps marked “Continuing the conversation” below.

<aside> ⚠️ Although the Crowdhelix team will not view the contents of direct messages unless under exceptional circumstances (in accordance with our Terms), you must not use the system to “spam” other users, for example by sending unsolicited offers or messages that otherwise do not relate to the purpose of Crowdhelix. Various restrictions are in place to ensure that the system is used for its intended purpose.
