Your Expert profile on Crowdhelix allows you to showcase your expertise and experience to other users on Crowdhelix, as well as display which Organisation you represent on the platform. Keeping your profile up to date also allows Crowdhelix’s intelligent recommender to suggest the most suitable collaboration Opportunities for you, and makes it more likely that your profile will be found by suitable prospective collaborators.

You can set up your expert profile as part of the account setup process when you first register for Crowdhelix, or at any time by accessing your Profile Settings.

Step by step

Option 1: Create your profile whilst setting up your Crowdhelix account

If so, you can either proceed to add more details to your profile by following Option 2 below, or proceed to 📨  Set up your notifications.

During this step of the registration process you can add, remove, or edit all of the information on this page to set up your profile for Crowdhelix exactly as you would like it to appear to other users on the platform:

• Your honorific title (Dr. or Prof.), if applicable;
• Your job title at your Organisation;
• A link to another online professional profile, for example one hosted on LinkedIn, ResearchGate, or your organisation’s website;
• A short text biography where you introduce yourself and your expertise;
• Your areas of expertise in the form of keyword tags, which will be used by other users on Crowdhelix to find you, and by our intelligent recommender system to send you suitable collaboration Opportunities that are posted on the platform.

To add a keyword, begin typing it in the box. A list of matching keywords that already appear in the Crowdhelix database appears as you type. If you can see your intended keyword in the list, you can add it to the profile by clicking the keyword, or by pressing enter if it appears at the top of the list. If your intended keyword does not appear, you can instead press enter once you have finished typing it.

When you are happy with your expert profile, click Continue to proceed to set up your notification settings on Crowdhelix.

Option 2: Update your profile by accessing your Profile Settings

At any time whilst logged in to Crowdhelix, you can update the details of your expert profile in your Profile Settings. To access these, click your profile image or initials at the top right of the page to open the menu. Next, click Profile settings from the dropdown list.
